What Is Your favorite vacation destination And Why?

My favorite destination is Israel. I spent 3 years there and fell in love with it. I think it's because the landscape is so foreign to what I'm used to. If I were from Arizona or Southern California where the landscape is similar, i may not have fallen in love so strongly with the region. However, it also has to do with the antiquity of the land and culture I think. I haven't been back since 1989 so I'm sure it has changed quite a bit; however, I still would love to go back.
